Dr. Hoelzel grew up in the metro Detroit area, and attended Michigan State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Physiology. He then went on to Detroit Mercy’s School of Dentistry. After graduating with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, he and his wife Brittany, moved to the Grand Rapids area which they have called home ever since. They came to love the friendly attitude of the communities in West Michigan.
During his time in Grand Rapids, Dr. Hoelzel got to know Dr. Crete through the Pankey Study Club of Grand Rapids, and in 2021 was thrilled to join the practice and continue to provide quality dentistry to the Lakewood community. He is excited to build lifelong relationships with patients, help create beautiful smiles and maintain great oral health.
When Alex isn’t in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Brittany, daughters Savannah and Kennedy, and two dogs, Ronnie and Zoey. He also enjoys running, skiing, and cheering on his Spartans.
